Food & beverage

Insieme (pronounced in-see-em-eh) means “together” in Italian. The restaurant boasts an intriguing menu by bringing together (there’s that word again) traditional and contemporary Italian cooking. With its bleached white-oak tabletops, silk-thread curtains, and travertine bar, is decidedly, elegantly, modern. Now serving breakfast, lunch and dinner

The Michelangelo offers complimentary “Buon Di” Café, featuring a selection of finely brewed coffees and teas served Italian Style each morning in the Lobby Lounge. Monday through Friday 7am to 9am and Saturday and Sunday is 8am to 10am.

It is a boutique hotel with friendly staff and the free continental breakfast was a nice start to the day. Great location just a couple of blocks from MOMA. The restaurant Insieme is also excellent.
