Hotel Vanguarda is a superior 3-star hotel with well acclimatized and equipped rooms, including a panoramic-view restaurant, à la carte and buffet service, and all the amenities that the modern day traveller needs.

The location of the hotel means that, should you be inclined, there is ample opportunity to explore the nearby mountains, some of the tallest in the region, as well as the historical and cultural sights of the surrounding area.

Magnificent hotel - great views and v close to the lovely old town (walking distance) where there is also a tasteful brand new shopping mall with cinemas. The staff were supremely helpful as I arrived, on my own, with a car on a trailer, which had to be manoevred into position in the indoor garage. Lots of parking outside. Stayed a second night. Huge buffet breakfast.

Firts we got a room with an in between door but when we asked we could choose between two other rooms,no problem.

There was no free internet (in 2008) we had to pay for the internet.Not enough lamplight in the room.

Location - very close to centre for a modern hotel

Dinner starts v. late (2100 CET) for visitors arriving from Spain. Very high costs of internet access (€3/hr) unreasonable

The views from our bedroom were wonderful, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent especially the breakfast.

This was our second time and after the smoking ban the hotel now has non-smoking rooms at the rear of the hotel---these are quieter and benefit from wonderful views.The staff were very friendly with some speaking good English.The food was also good quality/value

É difícil realçar um ou outro aspecto. As questões de limpeza são muito cuidadas. O hotel é confortável. O pequeno almoço é óptimo. O pessoal é muito simpático. A vista panorâmica dos quartos é espectacular. A localização é boa e há facilidade de estacionamento. Darei preferência a este hotel nas minhas deslocações pela região das beiras e Espanha adjacente.
